Babitours makes the departure for the excursion to La Maddalena from Porto Rotondo.

The boat for the trip to La Maddalena departs from Porto Rotondo from the Contro Ira Beach, which is located in front of the Ira Beach.

There are signs indicating Babitours boarding! Click on the map to see the exact location.

The Maddalena boat tour departs at 8:30 a.m. but we recommend that you arrive at the embarkation point in Porto Rotondo – Spiaggia Contro Ira at least 45 minutes earlier

Tickets for theexcursion to the Maddalena Archipelago can be purchased:

  • at our store in Rudargia Square in Porto Rotondo Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m;
  • at our store at 44 Porto Rotondo Street in Porto Rotondo from Monday to Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m;
  • By our accredited partners in Olbia, Golfo Aranci, Marinella, Portisco, San Pantaleo, Porto Rotondo, Cagliari;
  • or in the morning at 8 a.m. go directly to Porto Rotondo to the Maddalena trip boarding.

There are 2 stops for swimming in Budelli and Spargi and 1 stop for sightseeing in La Maddalena.

The Motorship Matilde will take you swimming in Budelli at Spiaggia del Cavaliere and in Spargi at Cala Corsara.

During the tour you will see some of Sardinia’s most beautiful and famous beaches and visit the island of La Maddalena.

The price is:

  • Adults € 66.00;
  • Reduced (6-12 years old) € 31.00;
  • Reduced (3-5 years old) € 26.00;
  • Infants (0-2 years old) FREE.

Ticket includes:

  • the pasta dish for lunch is included;
  • parking is free of charge;

Of course there is no age limit to visit the Archipelago!

No, disembarking is prohibited but you can see the Pink Beach from the boat and photograph it. On Rosa Beach in Budelli, access is prohibited to preserve it.

During the excursion we go to Budelli and you can swim at Cavaliere beach. It is a very picturesque beach!

Within the Maddalena port absolutely not, it is a port where ferries dock.

During the trip you can swim atBudelli Island at Cavaliere Beach and Spargi Island at Cala Corsara. A stop is also planned on the island of La Maddalena to visit the village and historic center.

Babitours runs a daily tour, return is scheduled for approximately 5:30 pm.

Reaching the Babitours boarding point is very easy!

It starts from the Contro Ira Beach, which is right in front of the Ira Beach in Porto Rotondo. We have set up signs indicating boarding on Matilda!

Click on the map to see the starting point, it will be very easy to reach us if you are arriving from Olbia, Golfo Aranci, Marinella, Portisco, San Pantaleo, Porto Rotondo, Porto Cervo, Cannigione, Arzachena, Sant’Antonio di Gallura, San Teodoro and Budoni!

Near the tour boarding there is a free parking space NOT for a fee.

The archipelago consists of 7 main islands (also called the seven sisters):

  • La Maddalena;
  • Caprera that hosted Garbaldi during his exile;
  • Santo Stefano, which housed the NATO military and submarine base;
  • Spargi (and Spargiotto) with its sheer fortifications and its famous Cala Corsara and Cala Granara;
  • Budelli where the famous Rosa beach is located. If you’re wondering “Why the famous beach in Budelli is Pink,” know that the color of the sand is due to the presence of pink skeletons of bryozoans and foraminifera;
  • Santa Maria, which owes its name to a very old convent with a medieval history. Port Madonna Lagoon and the Asinelli Pass a connect it to
  • Razzoli overlooking the Straits of Bonifacio, very close to Corsica;
  • And lots of smaller islets and reefs.
